This is the home page for the Historical Geography Network of the Social Science History Association. The main purpose of the site is to provide information about the Network and the sessions it offers at the SSHA's annual conference. The Historical Geography Network is a large and active group within the SSHA. Among areas of interest are:

2010 conference:

This meeting will return to the Palmer House Hilton, Chicago, 18-21 November 2010. A call for papers will be available from the SSHA website soon.

2009 conference:

This meeting was held on The Queen Mary, Long Beach, California, 12-15 November 2009. The Historical Geogaphy Network organised 13 session, 6.8% of the SSHA's total, making us the 5th largest network at the meeting.

2008 conference:

Details of this meeting, held in the Intercontinental Hotel, Miami are still available. This includes a list of Historical Geography sessions. The Historical Geography network organised 15 sessions at this conference, 9.6% of the SSHA's total. This made us the equal second largest network at the meeting.

2007 conference:

Details of this meeting, held at the Palmer House, Chicago, Illinois are still available. This includes a list of Historical Geography sessions. The Historical Geography network organised 15 sessions at this conference, 8.0% of the SSHA's total.
